Meet Vincenzo Aglieri Rinella, Director of Operations at Calashock

What do you do at Calashock Commerce?

I’m Director of Operations. I’m responsible for the operations of the agency and the projects’ delivery. I set priorities, assign resources and plan the execution and delivery of internal and client-related projects.

What is your favourite project that you have worked on here, and why?

Building the Tallinn development centre was my first internal project and the most challenging and inspiring. I worked on optimising the processes and the tools for the agency along with building the team (developers, designers etc.). I can’t choose my favourite client project. I usually get excited for any new project and I always find particular distinctive elements for each project that make them unique and interesting.

What is one piece of advice you’d give to an ecommerce merchant looking to grow their business

My advice is to really trust the partners and let them guide you through solutions and best practices. We strive to provide value to the client. This means we focus on the client’s business and deeply analyse their real needs. The most difficult part, sometimes, is to be open to new solutions and get rid of legacy, inefficient internal processes that might slow down or be an obstacle for online commerce success.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love sports. I often go to the gym and play football in one ex-pat team of Tallinn. I love singing in Choirs and performing, especially renaissance choral music. I’m into politics and geography.

If you could have a superpower what would it be?

Travel time, I would have the chance to meet interesting people of the past and might allow me to sing in a real renaissance choir.
